Our long history with additive manufacturing (here speaking of plastics and composites) and access to several different technologies gives us a platform to provide materials and accuracies that meet your project’s demands. Medical Modeling has used the stereolithography technique since the mid 1990s, the 3D Printing technique since the late 1990’s and more recently, the PolyJet Matrix additive manufacturing technique since 2008.
Additive manufacturing, as defined by the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) in their standard F2792 – 12a:
additive manufacturing (AM), n—a process of joining materials to make objects from 3D model data, usually layer upon layer, as opposed to subtractive manufacturing methodologies. Synonyms: additive fabrication, additive processes, additive techniques, additive layer manufacturing, layer manufacturing, and freeform fabrication.
